Dr. Shin was born in South Korea and came to Canada at the age of 6. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from UBC, he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University. 

 

He ran his first clinic in Whitehorse, Yukon and really enjoyed his experiences up north. After he got married, he moved to beautiful British Columbia with his family. 

Dr. Shin's goal is to treat every patient like he himself would like to be treated. He believes that every patient has the right to professional dental care, which he strives to provide by keeping up with the latest research and technologies. 

Dr. Shin's areas of interest are general dentistry and oral surgery. He completed an oral surgery externship at Lincoln Hospital in The Bronx, NY. He continues to further his knowledge through self-study and continuing education courses.

Dr. Shin likes to go for walks and spend time with his family in nature. He spends his free time playing video games or watching sports. His favorite sports leagues are NBA and UFC.
